Donor Program
We Invite Your Participation
The Academy invites members and others to donate financial resources to the Academy. These donations will be used only for the work of the Academy itself, whose primary purposes are to promote recognition of ABPP Board Certification, to encourage applications for Board Certification, and to enable members to better deliver psychological services, through education and networking. Besides member dues and donations (and a very small amount of advertising revenue from our website), the Academy has no other income. (The Academy's annual budget is approximately $25,000.) Donations may be made in honor of named individuals.
You may wish to consider the Academy when planning your estate. The Academy is a 501-3-c entity, and donors should check with their tax advisors and estate planners regarding tax deductions before donating, if that is a concern. Donations earmarked for specific aspects of the Academy's work (promotion of Board Certification, scholarships for those taking the exam, etc.) will be welcome, as well as general operating budget (unrestricted) donations.
Donations will be acknowledged in writing, with incorporation information about the Academy. They will also be acknowledged in the Academy's Bulletin, as well as permanently on the Academy's website. If the donor wishes, the Academy will attempt to arrange for in-person public acknowledgment at an ABPP meeting at the next convention of the American Psychological Association.
Thank you for considering donating. If you have questions about donating, we hope you will contact the current President of the Academy for assistance, via contact@aacpsy.org. Donations may be sent to the Academy at 211 East Davis Blvd., Tampa, FL 33606-3420.
