On behalf of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology, it is my pleasure to present this Academy special recognition award to Dr. Christopher Ebbe.
Dr. Christopher Ebbe became Board Certified in Clinical Psychology in 1984. He became a member of the Western Regional Board for ABPP in 1990, became involved in the revision of the ABPP examination process in Clinical in 1992 and then became the Western Region Examinations Coordinator in 1993.
In 1995, Dr. Ebbe became a Founding Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. During his term on the Academy Board since 2004, he was chair of the Continuing Education Committee, webmaster, Vice-President for two years and three as President. He spear-headed a move to improve relations between the Academy and the Clinical Examining Board which has resulted in greater comfort and collaboration between the two boards.
As President, Dr. Ebbe was instrumental in improving the on-line presence of the Academy, with new services and up-to-date information. He also revitalized the Academy’s mentoring process in addition to contributing many articles to the Academy’s Bulletin and to the ABPP Specialist.
Currently, Dr. Ebbe is Vice-President of CPPSA and part of an ABPP Task Force to better define the relationships between ABPP and the Academies.
For his unparalleled devotion, commitment, as well as his numerous outstanding contributions to the Clinical Academy, it is my pleasure to publicly recognize Dr. Ebbe with this award.
