    Introduction: This position is a Clinical Psychologist - Behavioral Health position located at the Great Plains Area Office supporting COVID-19 activities due to the sharp increase of suicidal, substance use and mental issues due to the pandemic.

    Selective Placement Factor - Candidates must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Common Wealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.

    Expert professional knowledge of medical and psychopharmacology science as evidenced by licensure as an independent or conditional practitioner with prescriptive authority to prescribe psychotropic medications to treat mental and emotional disorders.

    Assistant Director Training Clinic/ Tenure Track Assistant Professor

    The School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) at Spalding University seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to serve both as an Assistant Professor within our APA Accredited PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology and as the Assistant Director in our Center for Behavioral Health, the department training clinic. Outstanding postdoctoral candidates will be considered. Ability to teach foundational clinical courses (e.g. Intervention, Ethics, Psychopathology) required. Candidates who speak Spanish, have minoritized identities, and/or who have expertise in health psychology and/or assessment are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must hold a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology either with or eligibility for licensure in KY.

    We seek candidates who are passionate about graduate student training, teaching, and supervising, while also contributing to the collaborative nature of our faculty. Successful candidates will be expected to achieve a strong balance across the three domains of teaching, scholarship, and service in the department as well as in the Center for Behavioral Health (https://behavioralhealth.spalding.edu/). First, they will be strong teachers who utilize best practices in teaching and enjoy student mentoring. They will need to be competent in supervision and support the operations of our department training clinic. Second, they will be thoughtful scholars with either a record of presenting and/or publishing in their chosen research interest areas or demonstrated promise to do so. Third, they will possess a cooperative spirit to work collegially with others on university and departmental service committees. The position offers scheduling flexibility (other than class times) and faculty members are encouraged to use up to eight hours per week in research, consultation, direct service (e.g. private practice) and/or supervision. Opportunities also exist to engage in direct service as part of the Faculty Practice Plan in the Center for Behavioral Health.

    We serve a broad range of patients of all ages, treating affective disorders, personality disorders, marriages and psychological consequences of chronic medical illness.  We are open to you developing your own specialization.  Dr. Seth Rainwater is the managing partner and Dr. Avie Rainwater is the founding partner.  The balance of the clinical team is composed of four counselors who have been with LifeCare from 6-15 years.  The current position is opening because one of our counselors is moving.  We operate from 8AM to 7PM Monday through Thursday, and we enjoy a three-day weekend every weekend.   We have an excellent support staff who handle all of the day-to-day business issues (with a 95% collection rate) with all notes and reports being done through an EHR.

    Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultations regarding selection of psychological tests. May be also required to administer neuropsychological assessments and perform clinical evaluation and/or referral based on the neuropsychological assessment tool.

    Compensation

    Camp Pendleton Clinical Psychologists

    Perform mental behavioral health evaluations and provide therapy. Apply and oversee the application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders. Perform individual and group therapy, behavior modification paradigms, biofeedback procedures, and hypnosis in treating psychological disorders, and in assisting individuals to achieve more effective personal and interpersonal adjustment.

    Apply psychological interventions in multiple medical clinics and settings to include Pain Clinic, Mental health clinic, and the Wounded Warrior Battalion.

    Provide professional assistance to the Substance and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program (SARP) as requested.

    Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Combat Stress Disorder, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

    Provide psychological assessment and treatment of individuals confined in the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Brig, as requested.

    QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST INCLUDE:

    Possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience within the last three years as a Clinical Psychologist.

    Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university

    Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the APA.

    Experience as a Clinical Psychologist that includes evaluation and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress disorder and related mental health issues.

    Provide two letters of recommendation written within the preceding two years from practicing providers, supervisors, or program administrators attesting to the professional skills, competencies, patient rapport, training abilities.     The clinical psychologist will be required to successfully complete the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Consultant training or the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Care Facilitator training course. This training course must be completed within 60 days of starting.

    The clinical psychologist will be required to successfully complete the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Consultant training or the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Care Facilitator training course. This training course must be completed within 90 days of starting.

    Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
